Volunteer Meeting for Holiday Musical
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Details: Even if you don’t want to be on stage, but would like to participate in this years HOLIDAY MUSICAL, there are many volunteer positions available. The production will be very large and is growing every day. We need team players. All levels of talent and dedication are needed, from people who have as little as one evening to commit, to those who would like to be in charge of an aspect of the productions. Adult Auditions for Holiday Musical
Time: 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Details: AUDITIONS for the Holiday Musical, Bastrop Opera House, 711 Spring Street. Monday, October 16, ADULTS – 8:00 until 10:00 p.m. Arrive 15 minutes early. Rehearsals start Tuesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. Some roles are already cast. We need actors, singers, dancers, comedians, puppet masters, magicians, musicians, choirs, and more. You don’t need to be able to do it all. We’re looking for primary characters, supporting characters, and specialty acts. This is a large cast show. If you’d like to be a soloist or novelty act, please bring 1 minute of a prepared piece. The musical is about the townspeople of Bastrop staging a Christmas Pageant in the 1890s, complete with carols, nativity, and Santa. The show is a rollicking frolicking Holiday-Musical-Comedy from the creators of Marvelous Matriculation Musical and Dancin’ CafĂ©, john daniels, jr. & Engela Edwards. This is a production of the Bastrop Opera House Spring Street Players, and is not a dinner theatre production. Show dates are Fridays and Saturdays – December 1-16, 2006.
